Zástěra Composites Company was established in 1990 and is engaged in the production of wild water, sprint boats and paddles for wild water, sprint racing, slalom and tourism. We also offer our own range of canoeing accessories and equipment under the Progress label.

The location of the company was Prague and it moved to Písek in 1998. The company employees 8-10 workers in production and maintains long-term relationships with subcontractors and material suppliers.

Engineer Tomáš Zástěra is the founder and the owner of the company. Originally a civil engineer, in 1986-94 he was a top Czechoslovak kayaker in wild water racing, and was successfully participating in marathons and slalom. His interests include cross-country skiing, triathlon and cycling. He is still racing as well as looking after his family.
